Drama
Tim has appeared so far in 2026 as a resigned old actor-mentor in BBC3's BOARDERS and the Archbishop of Canterbury in a vertical movie (it's all the rage) entitled THE PRINCE AND THE ROYAL WEDDING PLANNER.
Last year he featured in DOCTORS as a bewildered widower in a car accident, CALL THE MIDWIFE (an indignant CEO) and a comedy vicar in the forthcoming movie, GO AWAY, with Hugh Bonneville. Recently he has appeared as a vintage car fanatic on MEET THE RICHARDSONS, then in Warner Brothers’ PENNYWORTH as yet another vicar, and as Dominic Cummings' dad in Sky’s THIS ENGLAND (with Kenneth Branagh as Boris Johnson).
Commercials
Commercial highlights from 2025 include two Christmas entertainments for Austria, one as (you guessed it) an embittered old boy for McDONALDS, the other as an ever-hopeful husband gagged and handcuffed to an armchair by his wife.... for SIXT CAR RENTALS, obviously.
Tim has now featured in thirty TV commercials. At Christmas time in the UK he has starred as Posh Santa to Janette McTeer's Mrs Claus for Marks and Spencer, a dotty Grandpa for ASDA and Scrooge for Currys. A few years ago he was big in Russia, filming an ad for TWIX and then playing a royal butler twice for RICHARD TEA; in Switzerland, there was a trilingual DUCKIES wet-wipes spot and a film for the Tourist Board; in Germany, a MULLERMILCH commercial and one (shot in Cape Town) for OBI bicycles. In Austria again, he was an out-of-focus grandfather for FERRERO KINDER Easter eggs and, in Israel, a Hercule Poirot character for LA PARA Chocolate.

Theatre
In theatre, on the other hand, Tim tends towards flawed English gentlemen ranging from Captain Hook in PETER PAN, the Pirate King in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE and Andrew Wyke in SLEUTH.
Seasonally, Tim is to be found as Bonkers Santa in a magical grotto near Biddenden in Kent.
